Microsoft Immersive Reader
The Immersive Reader removes the distraction of the toolbar and enables a click-for-dictionary feature.
- OneNote Online & Universal App: View > Immersive Reader. Click the Book icon and toggle "Picture Dictionary".
- OneNote Desktop: download the free Add-in here. Then go to Learning Tools > Immersive Reader.
- Outlook: File > Options > Ease of Access. "Show Read Aloud." Now you can open an email and click "Read Aloud".
- Word: View > Learning Tools > Immersive Reader
- Edge: Click the three dots in the upper right corner. Choose "Read Aloud".
Microsoft Dictation
Dictation is a speech-to-text tool.
- OneNote Online & Universal App: Home > Dictate
- OneNote Desktop: download the free Add-in here. Then go to Learning Tools > Dictate.
- Outlook: Open a new email and click Message > Dictate.
- Word: Home > Dictate
OneNote Video & Audio Recording
Audio and Video Recorder will record a video or audio clip of you or the student and insert it into the active OneNote page.
- Open OneNote
- Click Insert > Video to record a video with your webcam and insert it into the page.
- Click Insert > Audio to record your voice and insert it into the page.
